VIF: From the archive, to the streets

The collection looks back at Vålerenga’s history, with 1984 and the years before it as a key reference point. Colours, shapes and details from the archive have beenbrought back and reworked for today, including the return of the old VIF script monogram.

For the campaign, club legends and veterans wear the collection in the streets, pubs and neighbourhoods around Vålerenga. The people who helped shape the club are placed back in the surroundings where so much of its identity was built. It is a collection rooted in the past, but made to live now. Old references, familiar faces and a club identity that still feels as relevant today as it did then.

Rooted in Heritage Vålerenga’s retro collection draws from one of the defining eras in the club’s history. Inspired by the iconic 1980s and the 1984 league champions, the collection revisits the club’s classic crest and visual identity through a contemporary lens. A tribute to the era, the players and the identity that was part of shaping Vålerenga's history.

The collection includes two jerseys, a fleece jacket, T-shirt and caps, bringing Vålerenga’s 1980s identity into a contemporary collection. The collection was brought to life across Oslo, photographed at iconic local landmarks including Syverkiosken — a visual story rooted in Vålerenga’s identity, its neighbourhoods and the culture that surrounds the club.
